Vacuum Forming

vacuum forming:

Vacuum forming is a process that a sheet of plastic is heated to a desired temperature to become soft, and then put it on to a mold full with holes, using vacuum and pressure, formed into a designed part. The vacuum forming process can be used to make a large quantity of products such as product packaging, speaker casings, diagnostic equipment, car dashboards and so on. vacuum forming parts are used to replace fabricated sheet metal components with complex shapes requiring excessive welding, grinding and finishing operations.
We specialize in THICK PLATE (heavy gauge) thermoforming of plastic products. The suitable materials can be High Impact Polystyrene Sheeting (HIPS), transparent acrylic or other materials. Machined aluminum mold is used. Post-molding finishing, cutting, drilling, trimming is required. We offer normal vacuum forming or combination of vacuum and compressed air to produce higher quality products. Heavy-gauge thermoforming is an economical alternative to injection molding with lower tooling cost, and ideal for quantities less 4000 annually. Contact us today for a quote.
